Max Holder AKA Sleep Cycles is the mysterious force behind the dream pop release Hibernation on Bandcamp (pay what you like). The lead track from that album, “Café Waltz,” is being promoted by FatCat Records as one of their demos. In the opening and throughout Holder mutters, “You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” over hushed synth tubes; both contemplative and intoxicating, it’s lovely. Fans of Yellow Ostrich’s The Mistress will appreciate this little piece of bedroom recording heaven. Click on the SoundCloud to get a free copy of this:
