The appeal of raw material is sometimes difficult to avoid. That’s how we felt when first hearing several tracks from Witching Waves debut LP, Fear of Falling. The London-based trio has a predilection for lo-fi punk and snappy pop arrangements that feature girl-boy tradeoffs on vocals; it is unrefined, yet alluring noise pop. We find it hard not to think about how this band will evolve and the road that lies ahead, but that’s getting ahead of ourselves.
