Eternal Summers

Eternal Summers – “A Burial [stream]
from The Drop Beneath
out 4 March 2014
Eternal Summers are like my eternal summer… somehow they have connected with 20 year old Clif.  “A Burial” makes my heart smile and fills my being happy thoughts. This is total alternative rock goodness.

St. Vincent – “Digital Witness [stream]
from St. Vincent
out 25 February 2014
Annie hung out with David, and they made a good record. Annie projects her David remnants. It’s Annie spewing existential drama with lots of funkiness. She continues her run of great albums.

Clouder – “Phantom Girl [free download]
from Sister Raygun
out 4 March 2014 on Fleeting Youth Records
The Brooklyn-based quintet burns it up whilst looking for a phantom girl with electric eyes. It’s psych rock with early metal tendencies.

Little Children – “By Your Side [stream]
single
released 17 February 2014
Swedish artist, Linus Lutti, call his solo project Little Children. “By Your Side”  is a new single from the upcoming album “Walk Within”, which is anticipated later this year. The single features multi-instrumentalist Andreas Söderström. For fans of Beck and The Charlatans.

Side Saddle – “Don’t Wait For Him” [free download]
from The Postcard EP
out 25 March 2014 on Cedar Lodge
Side Saddle is a solo project of Ian McGuiness from Astoria, NY. The singer songwriters shines with ebullient rhythms and a sing-song chorus. It’s like Cecilia, except this time the protagonist is coaxing the girl to leave her man.

Silversun Pickups – “Cannibal”
from The Singles Collection
to be released in 2014
Most ‘throw-in’ tracks on Greatest Hits and Singles Collection suck. This does not! Excellent work as the band breaks new ground on “Cannibal”.

Cheers…
