Naming the Twins (Shelburne, Nova Scotia), 7:30 PM on Friday, Jan 24 ($8 general admission, $10 reserved )
–Folk pickers from Oh, Canada! that describe themselves as “A little bit like Peter, Paul and Mary if one of the fellows took the night off, a bit like Simon & Garfunkel if Art was a girl, a bit like Gordon Lightfoot or Stan Rogers if either had a girl harmonizer.” Having watched a couple of videos (see their YouTube channel), I’d say that’s a fair assessment.

Carolina Yellowhammers with the Green Grass Cloggers, 7:30 PM on Saturday, Jan 25 ($8 general admission, $10 reserved)
–A line-up that includes Fountain favorite and local hero Lightnin’ Wells and some other local pickers in support. In the past the Yellowhammers have included Frankie Harrison on mandolin, John Booker on bass, and Bob Gaddis on banjo.  The Green Grass Cloggers reinforce RA Fountain’s place as a unique venue for American folk music and culture. –True Americana from Greenville’s own Redhorse Black. They blend American Folk, Soul, Bluegrass, Blues, and Rock-n-Roll to entertain and make you shake yo’ thang.
