Ponyhof is the new project of New York-based singer and musician Carrie Erving. Her debut album, Empires, was written and produced by Erving and mixed by former DFA producer Eric Broucek (Eleanor Friedberger, LCD Soundsystem, !!!). “Tiger” features Arcade Fire frontman Will Butler singing harmonies on the chorus. Piano chat is the moniker of experimental folk/rock artist Marceau Boré out of Nantes (Fr.). Lands is his debut album on Kythibong. On Lands he explores the darkness of ennui and the freedom of exuberance.

From DIY corner to band: Sighs started off as a bedroom project for Mart Wilson budecided then he recruited friends Saul Blumberg and Sam Ebrahim to help round out a band.  “Bruise” is their debut recording. File under the dream pop/indie rock genre.

We previously featured the Philadelphia electropop quintet’s song “Do What You Want”, and now they’ve added a couple of other tracks for a working demo set. “New Daze” is sweet, hazy pop that will mine a hole through your brain with ease. Like them on Facebook.

Evil Arrows – “Jennifer Kills the Giant (Once a Week)

Bryan Scary along with Adrian Perry (formerly of Deadboots) on bass and his old bandmates of the Shredding Tears have formed Evil Arrows, a power pop indie band based in Brooklyn.  They are launching a big year-long EP project this month. They have nearly 50 home-recorded (Brooklyn NYC) songs that they will be releasing on a series of EPs throughout the year. Get EP1 on Bandcamp.
