This morning we have sights and sounds from Go Tell The Eskimo, Kris Menace with Miss Kittin, The Slytest and The Townhouses featuring Guerre.
Go Tell The Eskimo – “Silverhorse Rider”
from Smoke Signals EP
available free here
UK-based Go Tell The Eskimo released their debut EP on 29 October. It’s full of radio friendly indie pop rock with “Silverhorse Rider” being the best of the lot. “Magazine” is another solid track on this release. Get this EP free for a limited time by following the link above.
Kris Menace -“Hide” (ft. Miss Kittin)
Single from Features
out 3 December on Compuphonic
Love this video! Electronic wiz Kris Menace releases the first single from his upcoming album Features. Miss Kittin sweetens the groove, and there are several remixes already planned. The remix package for ’Hide’ includes mixes from Nhar (Kompakt, Correspondant), Undo (Factor City), Maethelvin (Valerie), Alexander Maier (Mood Music, Buzzin Fly), Pwndtiac (Work It Baby) and a DJ Pierre Beatport exclusive mix.
The Slytest – “The Ego Song”
from a new album
scheduled for release February 2013
Success breeds success… The Slytest released their first EP earlier this year, toured and became inspired to write and record enough material for an album. “The Ego Song” recalls lighter pop from Belle & Sebastian or Bishop Allen
The Townhouses – “Diaspora” (ft. Guerre)
out 20 November via Yes Please
The Townhouses get a big assist from electronic atmospheric artist Guerre on this second single. It’s meant to be an open letter to refugees en route or currently living in Australia repeatedly asking “Do you miss your home, do you miss your life? Do you miss your love?” it’s full of empathy about the agony and discombobulation experienced by those displaced due to war and persecution.
