Spazz Fest Feature: The Royal Baths

The Royal Baths are based out of Brooklyn, and led by Jigmae Baer (formerly of Thee Oh Sees) and Jeremy Cox. Their primordial sound is a mix of Delta Blues and garage rock, which has inspired them to label the sound “filth”, a moniker that feels just right. In February, they released their second album, Better Luck Next Life. The album is a bit more raw than their first album, Litanies, which fused blues with psychedelic influences. The two recordings provide an interesting foundation for the band, which revels in pushing the limits sonically and lyrically. They are stopping through Spazz Fest before heading on tour to Australia.
