As if one blog wasn’t enough, Clif is manning a new Tumblr site: The Dadada Tumblr Edition. It’s designed to present quick bits of information: breaking news, videos, and things that strike his fancy. Bookmark it and follow along.

Rain from the Cloud and Other Streams

The Good Natured  – Video Voyeur
from an upcoming 2012 release

Notes: A danceable synth pop tune from this UK trio. Their EP, Skeleton, is out now on Regal/Parlaphone Records. You can get a free download for Video Voyeur here (need to like and sign up on mail list). Watch the video below.

Amerigo Gazaway of Gummy Soul – Fela Soul
[Bandcamp Free Download]
Notes: A mashup album with hip hop legends De La Soul and Afro-beat pioneer Fela Kuti. LOVE IT!

Greg Preston and the Great MachineHate to Love the City
[Bandcamp Free Download]
Notes: Psychobilly/Rock-n-Roll band out of Hamilton, ON. Big riffs and rocket ship ride compositions that will turn on fans of Reverend Horton Heat and The Amazing (Royal) Crowns. Check out the video below.

Holiday Shores Spells from New Masses for Squaw Peak

Notes: New single from Holiday Shores is very jazzy with tribal rhythms backing it all. Not a snappy pop song, but a nice jam. Preview the entire album here.

Inspired and the SleepWhile We’re Young
single off the forthcoming album Teenager

Notes: Bouncy indie pop with a sweet little rhythmic riff…ends a bit abruptly, but we like what we hear from this San Diego trio. Get the free download here.

Consider these…

Captain’s Dead reposted an excellent live recording of Jeff Tweedy at Harper College on March 5, 1999. Get part 1 and part 2 while you can.

The good folks over at They Shoot Music Don’t They have another Copenhagen session posted. Ganglians stopped through to play a two-song set at Eiffel Bar in the Christianshavn neighbourhood. It’s pretty much unplugged, which is a bit of a surprise. Watch the entire performance here.

Okkervil River has a free EP of “conceptually related” cover tunes they recorded on tour. Golden Opportunities is available for a limited time. Get it here.
