Brontosaurus are a Chicago duo that concentrate on stark, eerie, mathematical pop songs that are reminiscent of Steve Albini & Bob Weston projects (e.g. Slint, Shellac, June of 44, Rachel’s). Nicholas Kelley and Nicholas Papaleo are mulit-instrumentalists that employ acoustic & electric guitars, piano, organ, and drums; their music celebrates Chicago math/post rock genres, but maintains a pop aesthetic that focuses on lavishness of arrangement and repels self-indulgent tendencies. Their debut, Cold Comes To Claim, will be released June 14, and the band will be touring the US this summer.
