The Latest from Fleet Foxes and Robin Pecknold

As many of you probably know by now, Fleet Foxes will release Helplessness Blues (Subpop/Bella Union) on May 3. Fans of the band have waited patiently since 2008, when the band released their brilliant self-titled album. A couple of weeks ago, Subpop freely distributed a mp3 of the title track.  On Monday, the Foxes frontman, Robin Pecknold, released three tracks to tease us a little more. He’s joined by Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste on I’m Losing Myself, sings longingly on Where Is My Wild Rose, and lets it all hang out on the killer track, Derwentwater Stones, which ends too abruptly. If you’ve missed this band, you now have enough to whet your appetite until May 3.
