I can’t believe it’s been 20 years… Long before Chuck D.  delivered  social commentary on Air America and Flavor Flav became a reality show star, these two led the socially conscious rap group, Public Enemy.  No one ever brought it like they did then or now.  Fight the Power! was a single from the Spike Lee film,  Do the Right Thing.  The movie was pretty good, but the soundtrack was better.  Check out Public Enemy at the peak of their fame:
