We don’t really deal with a lot of schedule news, but we’re getting inundated with College Music Journal (CMJ) Marathon material. So we’re summing what we have for schedules and news, because we like some of these places, venues, and artists. We will not attend the marathon, but maybe YOU can.
Earlier today, NPR posted a mix of artists developed from a poll of 10 college radio stations. You can check out their recommended bands and download the podcast here.
Paper Records Official CMJ Showcase

In the past year or so, they’ve released very good to excellent albums from The City and Horses, Conveyor, Dad Rocks!, Eli Mardock, Fierce Creatures, Little Tybee, Natureboy, Pree and Team Genius among others. Check out their CMJ Sampler, which includes several free downloads. Support their artists.
