Here are a few tracks I discovered in the inbox whilst traveling to the wonderful island of Ocracoke today:
California Wives – “Marianne”
This four-piece indie rock outfit recently signed with Vagrant Records. They will be releasing their debut LP soon. For now, they are offering a free download of the track, “Marianne.” I have to agree with the observation that this track sounds like something from a John Hughes track. Their Chicago roots might have something to do with that.

Fang Island – “Asunder”
Their epic debut in 2010 set the bar high for this group of Providence natives turned, Brooklynites. Fang Island’s new album Major, will be available everywhere July 24th, 2012 via Sargent House. “Asunder” is an accessible track with pop sensibility.

Helium Robots – “Silver”

The Tallest Man on Earth
“Tallest Man on Earth – 1904“
Sweden’s Bob Dylan, Kristian Mattson, is back again with the upcoming release, There’s No Leaving Now, on Dead Oceans.
