Discover: Rimpau

The songs of Rimpau have a classic feel. Their gritty harmonies are full of melody, and the arrangements are reminiscent of late era Beatles (i.e., Abbey Road and Let It Be, specifically), The Band and Wilco. The Los Angeles based quartet released their self-titled EP a few weeks ago, making it available on Bandcamp (pay-what-you-want). A nice range of material is offered and includes: the raucous, All I Wanna Do; genre hopping, Dorianne; bar band beauties, What Should Come and Up and Down; and the beautifully plaintive, Thunder.
