Pick Up On: Stripmall Architecture

Veteran songsmiths Rebecca and Ryan Coseboom have worked with James Lavelle, DJ Shadow, the Velvet Underground’s John Cale, and underground avant-cellist Zoe Keating.  The dream pop of their previous project, Halou, made waves, but primarily in their home territories on the US west coast.  Their new project is Stripmall Architecture; the production of the EP, Feathersongs for Factory Girls (Part Two) was funded via Kickstarter.  The music of Stripmall Architecture has the pop appeal of Santagold, but with a cool swagger that is exemplified by the smoky, confident deliver of singer Rebecca Coseboom.  Their compositions are luxuriant, tasteful, and compelling.
