So here I am, doing my best Paul Revere imitation to draw attention to a BIG SHOW happening in Greenville. Deleted Scenes (D.C.) and Modern Skirts (Athens) will be playing the underground venue, SPAZZHAUS, this Sunday (11/14) evening. It should be great.

Deleted Scenes have garnered quite a bit of attention since releasing the album, Birdseed Shirt. The big buzz around here is that Pitchfork gave Birdseed an 8.0, which is apparently like gold. I will agree that it’s a good album, and will encourage folks to check out their MySpace or ReverbNation pages get an idea of what is in store for Sunday evening. You can pick up their stuff on e-Music.
Meanwhile, Modern Skirts are coming off two successful long playing releases: Catalogue of Generous Men (2006); All of Us in Our Night (2009); and an EP release, Happy 81, this past summer (all of which are available on e-Music). Modern Skirts have a new album coming soon entitled, Gramahawk, with a release date scheduled for January 18, 2011. This is a great bill of indie bands, but then again, the Spazz folks usually pull some great acts… why expect less?
