Back in July, I featured full-length albums made available by EarDrums Pop (EDP), a website that encourages collaboration across the internet and in the spirit of the Postal Service style of recording (e.g., you record your part in Portland, I’ll do my part in DC, and one of us will mix this thing) except utilizing all of the wonderful technology that is now at our disposal. Well, now they have a different project focused on singles. Basically, bands are recording a single, a b-side, and a cover , and then posting it. There are four of these available through EDP, and each is pretty good.

Sometimes Always is a fuzz garage band out of Jakarta

Insect Guide is a modern rock band out of the UK.

The Paperfangs are a group of collaborators from Finland specializing in electronic music.

Finally, the Tiny Fireflies are Lisle and Kristine from the Chicago-based band, Very Truly Yours.
As I mentioned, each is pretty good, but I enjoyed Tiny Fireflies a lot.

Sample each, and let me know what you think.
Cheers, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
